Sweet Mary Jane Cardigan / Bed Jacket

The Sweet Mary Jane was designed by Celeste Culpepper in honor and memory of her mother who died of breast cancer. It is a beautiful sweater and my first big knitted lace project.

May 24th, 2007 update: I've done the matching sachet (a great idea for checking gauge and getting used to lace knitting while still making a finished piece that can be put to good use!) and am on the 12th row of the body. I'm just getting far enough into the pattern to see that - miraculously! - it is working and I am actually making lace! I expect blocking it to be an adventure, but I'll worry about that later.
